Marseille: a man armed with a knife killed by the police

, the facts took place near the La Valentine shopping center, in the 11th arrondissement of the city.

The man in his mid-fifties reportedly entered a cultural store armed with a knife after threatening passers-by in the parking lot.

The security guard reportedly managed to contain him before the police arrived.

Seeing them, the man would have launched towards them, forcing them to neutralize him.

Despite medical treatment, the man died.

There were no other injuries.

According to BFM Marseille, the store employees were retained for the purposes of an investigation, entrusted to the judicial police but also to the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN), as is customary when a policeman uses his gun.
