The facts occurred in the town of Saint-Jean-le-Blanc, in the suburbs of Orléans, on May 2 and 4.

The three minors made an appointment with men they had met virtually earlier on the internet.

In the first case, the victim was beaten up and then injured in the hand with a knife before managing to flee and then alert the police and firefighters.

His attackers destroy the windows of his car and then flee.

The scenario repeats itself two days later with a 36-year-old man, who is gassed on his arrival at the meeting place by three masked individuals.

He is also attacked with a knife, then stolen the sum of 80 euros.

The victim managed to warn the police, who quickly proceeded to arrest the three minors.

Placed in police custody, they were then indicted for

“theft with the use or threat of a weapon”.

Pending their trials in a juvenile court, they have all been remanded in custody.

They face up to 20 years in prison.
