(ANSA) - CALTANISSETTA, 11 MAY - The Procurator of Altanissetta Salvatore De Luca and the prosecutor Stefano Luciani have requested the sentence to 11 years and 10 months of Mario Bo and to 9 years and 6 months each of Fabrizio Mattei and Michele Ribaudo, the three policemen accused before the court of slander aggravated by favoring the Cosa Nostra.
The three former members of the "Falcone-Borsellino" investigative pool, directed by the commissioner Arnaldo La Barbera, who died in 2002, are accused of having built false penitents, inducing them to lie, to mislead the investigations into the Via D'Amelio massacre.
For all the ban from public offices was requested.
