Surprising timing: Reports from various media outlets in Russia and abroad claim that Putin's mistress, Olympic gymnast and former gold medalist Alina Kabayeva (38), is once again pregnant with her partner, the 69-year-old Russian president.
According to rumors that never received Kamerlin's approval, Kabayeva became Putin's mistress in 2008 and the couple have two children together.
The first child was born in a private hospital in Switzerland in 2015 and the second was born in Russia in 2019.
The General SVR Telegram underground news channel, which reported the pregnancy, and is apparently run by a knowledgeable source in Russia, claims that Putin does not like the idea and that "the president was surprised by this pregnancy and looked sad and distant in recent days."
It is important to note, however, that very little is known about the personal life of the Russian president who stubbornly refuses to discuss it and once said that "I have a private life in which I do not agree to be interfered with. Please respect this desire of mine."

After retiring from the gymnastics track, Kabayeva turned to politics and was a member of the lower house of parliament on behalf of Putin's party from 2014-2007.
In 2014 she resigned from Parliament and became the director of the state-owned National Communications Group.
