Rock im Park is getting closer - and with it the anticipation of this year's great line-up is growing.
However, there are still some short-term changes.
Nuremberg – It's not unusual, but a bitter disappointment for some fans: Shortly before the eagerly awaited Rock im Park music festival, which this year can finally expect around 80,000 fans again after a two-year Corona break, there are still a few short-term changes to the line up.
Mostly these are due to the tightly scheduled summer schedule of the bands, but this year Corona can also thwart the festival appearance.
A week ago, for example, Billy Talent had to cancel their concert in Vancouver within one day - because of sudden corona cases in the band.
But don't worry: Billy Talent is not one of the short-term cancellations - at least for the time being.
Rock im Park 2022: Band cancellations at short notice - line-up change
At least it's not a main act that's now leaving the festival's line-up.
However, as the Rock im Park website announced, August Burns Red, Code Orange and Donna Missal will not be performing at the festival in the dozen ponds - the bands had canceled their European tour.
According to the website, Lewis Capaldi cannot perform at Rock im Park either.
So much for the bad news.
Because there are good ones too: Of course, other bands are now moving up and filling the gaps in the line-up: In addition to the all-girl band The Linda Lindas, the ska-punk band Sondaschule and the self-screaming rap rock Electro-Pop-Mutanten” rock band RedHook perform at this year's festival in Nuremberg.

Rock im Park in early June 2022: the anticipation is growing
In less than a month, thousands of music fans will be flocking to Nuremberg again.
Rock im Park takes place from 3rd to 5th June, at the same time the sister festival Rock am Ring takes place at the Nürburgring between Cologne and Frankfurt.
Tickets are of course already on sale.
Around 80,000 visitors are expected at each of the two festivals.
The line-up is almost identical, but the bands perform on different days of the festival.
