This year is the 23rd "Excellence in Journalism Award" organized by the Asian Publishing Association (SOPA). The award is known as the "Asian Pulitzer" and recognizes outstanding news reporting in the Asia-Pacific region. The awards are divided into international English reporting, regional English reporting and There are three categories of Chinese reports, each with multiple categories such as human rights, exclusive, and investigation.
Many of the shortlisted awards this year are related to Hong Kong issues, including the entry into force of the National Security Law, the June 4th after the disbandment of the stake, and the forced suspension of publications of Apple Daily and Stand News.
