How to restore elegance to the Champs-Élysées, which no one ventures to call "the most beautiful avenue in the world" anymore?
After a first project unveiled in 2020, then a consultation on the internet, the Champs-Élysées Committee and the town hall of Paris announced, on Wednesday, a two-stage plan.
While Anne Hidalgo suffered a bitter failure in the presidential election, the latter obviously wants to show that she does not give up anything in her city, and especially not to roll back the car or to occupy the field of ecology.
As for the committee, which represents companies and traders, it wishes to attract Parisians again to this ultra-touristy avenue, and dedicated to major brands.
