Schönau am Königssee – On Wednesday (May 11), a vacationer at Königssee triggered a rescue operation.
In its press release, the BRK speaks of a “quite onerous mission”.
Task forces from the BRK water rescue service, the Berchtesgaden police and the crew of the Kitzbühel emergency doctor helicopter "Christophorus 4" were on the southern shore of the lake.

As the BRK Bechtesgadener Land announced, a holidaymaker from North Rhine-Westphalia fell on a hiking trail.
He obviously had acute health problems, which is why first responders made an emergency call to the Traunstein control center at around 1:20 p.m. because they thought the man was having a heart attack.

Since the crew of the Traunstein rescue helicopter "Christoph 14" was still tied up in an operation at Hochstaufen near Bad Reichenhall, the dispatchers sent the Kitzbühel emergency doctor helicopter "Christophorus 4" off.
"Emergency doctor and emergency paramedic tried to examine the man, but he was neither injured nor ill and, due to his heavy alcohol consumption, refused any further care and transport," it said.
At around 2:00 p.m., the helicopter crew called for the BRK water rescue service with their lifeboat and the police, since they could not leave the man alone in his condition.
"The emergency services then managed to get the verbally and physically aggressive vacationer onto the lifeboat and drove him back to the lake," said the BRK.
