Zeng Zhicheng and Zeng Langjie reached the summit of Mount Everest with a height of 8,849 meters this morning, setting a number of records.
The 18-year-old Zeng Langjie broke the record and became the youngest Hong Kong person to reach the top. The previous record was held by Chen Jiaxi, who reached the top in 2018 at the age of 19.
Zeng Zhicheng himself is already the Hong Konger who has climbed Mount Everest the most times. He has increased the record to 4 times, of which 3 times have passed the southern slope and 1 has passed the north slope.
In addition, Zeng Zhicheng and Zeng Langjie became the first Hong Kong father and son to conquer Mount Everest.
Before climbing Mount Everest, they selected three peaks over 6,000 meters for training and adaptation, including Lobuqidong Peak.

Zeng Zhicheng and Zeng Langjie left Hong Kong on March 8 for Nepal.
After two months of height adaptation and training, they officially set off on May 8, starting from the Everest base camp to Camp No. 2, and yesterday they arrived at South col, which is 7,906 meters high, which is Camp No. 4.
They hit the road in the dark early this morning, passed the Hillary step, and reached the summit at 9.35am local time after sunrise.
As for the other two Hong Kong-based rock climbing coaches and couples Huang Yanliang and He Shuzhu, who aim to climb Mount Everest, they have not been with the Zeng and his son. The two plan to wait for the next good weather before setting off.
