Beijing will launch another three-day mass testing campaign in 12 of its districts starting Friday, Beijing government spokesman Xu Hejian said during a news conference on Thursday.
The 19.7 million residents living in those districts will be tested once a day over a period of three days, using a PCR test.
People were advised to work from home and only go out for testing.

Earlier this Thursday, screenshots of a possible three-day lockdown were circulated on social media.
During the news conference, city officials called the posts a "hearsay."
