The New York Mega Millions lottery stopped payments for the draw held on Tuesday after verifying that the person in charge of announcing the winning numbers made a mistake by confusing a six with a nine.
"The 9-ball was drawn on camera and is the official result," draw organizers said in a statement, also apologizing to host John Crow.
Thus, the winners of the May 10 draw are the white balls 15, 19, 20, 61 and 70, and the golden Mega Ball nine, according to the statement.

No one took the 86 million main prize.
There were two $10,000 6-ball prize winners and another 30,000 people with small prizes totaling $130,000.
But payments are suspended for the time being.
