A large quantity of nitrous oxide - better known as "
laughing gas
" - was seized in a nightclub in Montélimar where it was distributed to customers, the Valence prosecutor's office announced on Thursday May 12.
A total of 288 cartridges of this gas were seized at the "
Gold
", leading to the manager's hearing on Tuesday, which will be continued.

The prosecution clarified to AFP that these cartridges were “
either offered at the entrance in the manner of free consumption, or sold at the bar
”.
The manager is being prosecuted in particular for “
selling or offering nitrous oxide to a minor
” and “
provoking a minor to misuse a consumer product to obtain psychoactive effects
”.
