Melissa Mantzoukis is happy about third place on DSDS and the support of friends and family.

Taufkirchen

– Melissa Mantzoukis came third in the casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS).

Now the 18-year-old is back in her home town of Taufkirchen.

"It would be my wish to do something with music at some point," says the singer, for whom almost 17 percent of the audience voted in the finale.

However, she does not yet have a concrete plan, the future will show that, she says in an interview with our newspaper.

After completing her bank apprenticeship in Ingolstadt, the young woman already has a job at Sparkasse Erding.

However, Mantzoukis also emphasizes that she does not know how things will continue in this regard.

When asked how she liked the show and whether she should have done anything differently in hindsight, she says confidently: "I have absolutely no regrets and I was able to take a lot of experience with me."

Her family and friends had her back from the start – and were thrilled that the 18-year-old reached the final: “They weren't sad that I ended up in third place.

Everyone is very proud of me.”

The moment she found out that she had made it to the final was particularly emotional and unforgettable for her.

"Now it's sad to know I'll never prepare for the show on a Saturday again," she admits.

The 18-year-old says that she got along well with her colleagues – with some a little better than with others.

The young banker also owes her success to a very special person: her father, who passed away last year.

He always gave her the greatest motivation.

Mantzoukis is sure that her dad still gives her strength.

He was the most important person in her life.
