- How do you rate the significance of Putin's war in Ukraine?
Isn't this a moment of geopolitical rupture as important as September 11, 2001, in the history of international relations?

- It is a tectonic event, which is, in terms of rupture, at the same level as September 11 or the end of the cold war.
We are witnessing the most obvious challenge to the world order since the end of the Second World War.
There had been very violent limited attacks in the Caucasus and in Crimea in 2014. But there we are witnessing an attempt to impose a pro-Russian government by means of war.
Putin wants to impose a pro-Russian regime in the former Soviet republics and it is clearly not over.
He indicates his intention to return to the end of the Cold War.
