These locomotives towed line N cars (VB2N, for "two-level suburban car") crowded with travelers for more than ten years between Paris, Rambouillet, Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) or Dreux (Eure-et-Loir).
But the new Régio 2N trains, so-called self-propelled boa trains which are gradually arriving on the line, no longer need them to move forward.
Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), the organizing authority for transport in Île-de-France, has therefore asked the SNCF to find a solution to resell these BB27300s at the best price.
For the first time, twelve locomotives will therefore be auctioned on the Agorastore site with a price between 1,294,868 euros and 1,365,849 euros depending on their characteristics.
