Four-year-old girl locked in Austria for days with her dead mother in the apartment

The four-year-old girl apparently thought her mother was sleeping and stayed by the body until the police arrived.
Wels – In Wels, Upper Austria, the police freed a four-year-old girl from an apartment.
The little one sat next to her dead mom.
She probably lived under the same roof with her mother's body for two days, according to information from the media in Austria and the

Her grandfather had called the police on May 10 because he had not heard from his seriously ill daughter, the police confirmed on Thursday.
Officers broke down the door to the apartment and found the girl sitting well next to her mother.
Nevertheless, it was first taken to the hospital for examination and is now being housed with relatives.
The 39-year-old mother of the four-year-old was reportedly suffering from a serious illness, which was probably the cause of death.
Investigators ruled out suicide or third-party negligence as the cause of the mother's death.
