Finally Grandau folk festival again!

This is a first for Grafing's mayor Christian Bauer.

"It's new when it's tapped," said landlord Anton Kainz.

at the beer tasting, which this year took place for the first time in the marquee that had already been set up.

Grafing - Bräu Gregor Schlederer not only brought a sample keg with him, but also good news: His brewery "has collected a few medals again," he said.

The young brewery owner is particularly pleased that the awards included a “World Beer Award”.

The Grandau folk festival "is our most important event and the flagship of the brewery", said Schlederer and thanked his employees and workers for their commitment and the city for the "good cooperation".

The festival beer brewed by master brewer Johannes Hartwig has 13.6 percent original gravity, is strong and "a little darker in colour, but that's intentional".

Folk festival lasts from May 20th to May 31st

The folk festival lasts from Friday, May 20th to Tuesday, May 31st.

At the start, the Glonner Musi will play "our house band", as Kainz put it.

The first highlight of the extended festival week is on Saturday, May 21st, the 20th Grafinger Schafkopf Championship of the Ebersberger Zeitung.

Registration from 12.30 p.m.

Then it all happens in quick succession: On Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m., the club competitions will take place, with the winners being able to visit the folk festival on an evening of their choice without drinking.

On Monday, May 23rd, the Bavarian Evening is the stage for the "Blechbagage", the Emmeringer Musi, the Grafinger Trachtlergruppen and the Bergangerer Goasslschnalzer.

In the afternoon from 1 p.m. all seniors in Grafing look forward to a free beer and half a chicken, which the city of Grafing donates to its citizens who are over 75 years old.
