Pipelines, manhole structures and connection points in the Zollinger sewer network urgently need to be renovated.

That costs time - and a lot of money.

Zolling

- "The gold of the community lies underground." This sentence by Zolling's mayor Helmut Priller sounded almost philosophical.

The reason for the statement was the less than philosophical result of the camera inspection of the community's sewer network and the resulting need to invest in pipes, manhole structures and connection points.

By 2030, sewers & Co. should be brought into shape

Almost three million euros will probably have to be raised to get channels & co. back into shape by 2030.

An unloved project, because you really can't show anything, says Piller.

But an important project for the infrastructure of a community.

Markus Stummer from the Coplan engineering office came to the municipal council on Tuesday to present the findings and the first consequences of the camera inspection.

He could not yet present a detailed concept, Stummer began his report, but he could definitely present a cost estimate and an "approximate timetable".

It looked like this: As far as the channels, known as attitudes in technical jargon, are concerned, 54 percent are in a state that does not trigger any need for action.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Based on the findings of the camera inspection, repairs are indicated for 22 percent of the sewers - but without time pressure.

At ten percent, on the other hand, you have to think about renovation, renewal or even more detailed inspections.

The remaining 14 percent have not yet been examined.

If you apply the usual costs for this finding, you would have to pay 408,000 euros net for repairs, around 175,000 euros for renovations, 111,000 euros for renewals and another 11,500 euros for pressure tests.

That means a gross total of 882,000 euros.

According to Stummer, the findings for the shaft constructions are as follows: In 67 percent of the cases no measures are necessary, in 30 percent repairs are announced and in a further three percent replacements are announced.

That means

that the municipality had to adjust to 95,700 euros net for the renovation measures and 120,000 euros for the renewal of shafts.

Gross so just under 257,000 euros.

Agree without speaking and without discussion

Then there is the area of connection lines: Although 74 percent do not require any measures, 14 percent of the connection lines would have to be repaired, eleven percent renovated and one percent replaced.

Expected costs for this: 945,000 euros gross.

If you then add a little over 100,000 euros to drive the camera through the sewers that have not yet been inspected, you get around 2.18 million euros.

However, because the ancillary costs and the planning services are not included, the sum for the entire package amounts to 2.95 million euros.

In consultation with the administration, it is planned to implement all measures by 2030.

Stummer also had a recommendation with him: If you want to tackle all measures that can be assigned to the poor condition classes 4 and 5 in the years 2023 to 2027, you have to earmark 1.75 million euros for this, i.e. around 570,000 euros per year plan the community on average for sewer rehabilitation.

Without speaking and without any discussion, the Zollinger municipal council voted to implement the sewer renovation by 2030 and to budget almost three million euros for it.
