On May 10, the nucleic acid test was positive, and the CT value was 23. It is suspected to be a local case.

Zhang pointed out that from the evening to late night of May 9, the two played billiards at the Xinwang Club on the third floor of Block B, Hung Hom Commercial Center, Ma Tau Wai Road, Hung Hom at the same time, and it was suspected that there was transmission there.

Zhang said that there were at least two other confirmed cases that day, who had been to Xinwanghui at the same time, involving a 23-year-old man who tested positive on May 11 and another 40-year-old who tested positive on May 10. man.

In other words, there have been at least 4 cases among customers who visited Xinwanghui during the same period.

Zhang said that the CHP has dispatched personnel to inspect the Xinwanghui, and obtained the information of about 150 visitors from 5:00 pm on May 9 to 12:00 am the next day, and will contact them for compulsory testing.

4 people play together, unknown source of transmission

Zhang Zhujun pointed out that, according to preliminary understanding of the case, the temporary information shows that the four patients "do not play together, but have appeared in the same space."

She said that some patients knew that the other party was there that night, but were not familiar with the other party. There were "drinkers" in the venue, but the exact location was unknown.

She believes that there seems to be a local outbreak in the temporary case, but no one is the source of the transmission. It will depend on whether the other 100 people have known cases and the mandatory test results. .

He was asked if there were two clusters of infections recently found in restaurants and entertainment venues, whether it was necessary to tighten social distancing measures.

Zhang Zhujun said that mainly due to the decline in the number of cases, the authorities have the ability to track group outbreaks, saying that social distancing measures will not be affected.

In addition, the CFS has identified 4 more cases of the BA.2.12.1 variant virus strain. Zhang Zhujun pointed out that all the cases were found in imported cases, which arrived in Hong Kong from April 30 to May 7, and 3 of them were in Hong Kong. After arriving in Hong Kong, they were found at the airport, including one that arrived in Hong Kong from the Netherlands on May 5, one that arrived in Hong Kong from the United States via Turkey, and one that arrived in Hong Kong from the United States via Japan.

The remaining patient arrived in Hong Kong from the United States via South Korea on April 7 and was confirmed in the quarantine center's sample on the fifth day. There are currently 11 cases of BA.2.12.1 in Hong Kong.

At the same time, the authorities also identified 2 more cases of BA.2.4, all of which were detected at the airport, involving a person who arrived in Hong Kong from Ethiopia on May 6 and a person who arrived in Hong Kong from the United States via Japan on May 7.
