Floralia or Ludi Florales were the important festival in honor of the goddess Flora, goddess of flowers and symbol of fertilization and rebirth, which took place in Rome between late April and early May, at the Circus Maximus.
After the winter suspension, the earth becomes fertile and flowers appear which, due to their rapid fading, are a symbol of the passage of time but the fruits, which are born from them, become the emblem of rebirth after death and of life that continues.

The life force of nature, in all its beauty and power, is expressed in the flowers.
Painting a flower means immersing yourself in this mystery, participating in this party.
Fausta D'Ubaldo's flowers, like all the tables she works on, are invariably painted from life.
The artist is not interested in exact reproduction, she wants to tell about her emotions, what strikes her at that moment: a relationship of lights and shadows, a nuance of colors, the labyrinth of the petals ... self.
In many years of work Fausta D'Ubaldo has come to the conclusion that the first thing to learn to paint is to learn to see and she has developed a series of techniques to teach a synthetic vision essential for painting from life.
