In the Neufahrner day care center, the little ones are not only cared for, but also encouraged

104 girls and boys are currently attending the Neufahrner daycare center.

Here they are not only cared for, but also encouraged, as stated in the annual report.

Neufahrn

– 104 children are currently attending the day care center in Neufahrn – including 54 German children, 50 foreign children and one integration child.

The day-care center's annual report, which was presented to the municipal personnel committee by the day-care center manager Annett Stiehler, begins with a look at these figures.

As a socio-educational facility for children in primary school, the after-school care center is sponsored by the municipality of Neufahrn.

In April 1979 it opened with three groups.

Because the need for care facilities for children of primary school age increased over the years, an additional, fourth group was added in late summer 2002 and could be occupied in December.

In 2019, the container was then connected to the day care center.

In terms of premises, the after-school care center is well equipped: There are group rooms including a separate homework room, a cloakroom area for each group, a small auditorium, an office, kitchen, dining room and facilities for children and staff, as well as a beautiful garden with mature trees .

The focus of the pedagogical work is on accompanying the children during the day, supporting the children - especially during the Covid19 situation -, homework support, targeted educational offers and holiday care.

During homework time, the children are supported in completing their homework.

The pedagogical staff ensures the appropriate framework, provides assistance if necessary, checks that everything is complete, offers their own bright workplace, the necessary quiet, the appropriate amount of time, pays attention to positive learning behavior, personal responsibility and independence.

The children use tools and techniques independently and appropriately.

As Stiehler said, the information about the Ukraine conflict also moves the boys and girls in the after-school care center.

In conversations, the children could have exchanged their thoughts and feelings with the staff and also with each other.

It quickly became clear: "We want to help and support!" So they started a bake sale in the facility.

With the proceeds of 700 euros, Humedica and the refugee support group Neufahrn will be supported.
