Kherson region authorities: We will continue to work on our accession to Russia

Deputy Head of the Military and Civil Administration of the Kherson region Kirill Strimosov announced that the region will continue to work on the path to joining Russia, stressing that the region will no longer return to the control of the regime in Kyiv.

"The Kherson region has determined the path of joining the strength of Russia, and it will not deviate from the desired path, and we have no other path," Strimosov was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency. Also at the legislative level for a smooth transition.”

Strimosov stressed that the Kherson region would never again become a colony of Western partners who had caused Ukraine to completely deteriorate.

Strimosov had announced earlier that the new authorities in Kherson did not intend to hold any popular referendum on declaring the Kherson People's Republic, along the lines of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.

The official pointed out that Kherson will transfer to Russian laws by the end of this year.

The Russian forces took control of the Kherson province and parts of the Kharkov and Zaporozhye provinces within the framework of the special military operation that was launched on the 24th of last February to protect the residents of Donbass.
