A "Long Night of Art" lures visitors to the valley for the second time on Friday and Saturday, May 13th and 14th.

Museums, galleries and artists' studios open around Lake Tegernsee and offer guided tours and activities.

Tegernsee Valley

- A "Long Night of Art" lures visitors to the valley for the second time on Friday and Saturday, May 13th and 14th, 2022.

Three museums, five galleries and five artist studios as well as two exhibitions open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. around Lake Tegernsee.

Daily there are various guided tours through the permanent and special exhibitions in the Olaf Gulbransson Museum Tegernsee (Friday 3.30 p.m. and 7 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m., 3.30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.) and in the Museum Tegernseer Tal in Tegernsee (Friday 5 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., Saturday 4.30 p.m , 7.30 p.m.).

At the Museum Tegernseer Tal there will also be a concert on Friday at 9 p.m.

Photographer Christine Otsver in Gmund has once again come up with something very special for the Long Night: In her StudioX showroom (Münchner Straße 140), the American is building the interactive art installation “Where is my shadow?!”.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of light painting and try it out for themselves on a large "glow wall".

Music, creative rally, workshop

The gallery Kunst und mehr von Peter Rau in Rottach-Egern (Leo-Slezak-Straße 1a) presents 15 artists from the region in the current exhibition "Kunterbunt" with textile art and pop art, some of which are on site for discussions.

An interactive creative rally is also planned.

On Saturday from 6.30 p.m., guitarist Michael Löwe and guests frame the evening.

At the Tegernsee Art Academy, artist Janosch Müller shows children and young people the tricks of the sprayer at a workshop entitled “Planets – my own universe!” (Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 79 euros).

This year, for the first time, the stations of the Long Night also include the Jagerhaus Gmund, which presents the current Gmundart art exhibition, as well as the Spa & Resort Bachmair Weissach, where the renowned artist Christian Awe shows his exhibition "Ikagai", and the Bachmair Weissach Clubhaus in Tegernsee , where Suse Kohler will be presenting new paintings entitled “Sun Kissed” on Friday, May 13th.
