Living space in Herrsching will be made barrier-free

Living space is being created in Herrsching am Mitterweg.

Most apartments are barrier-free and wheelchair accessible.

Herrsching – At the most recent meeting, the building committee of the municipality of Herrsching decided on an expansion variant for the “Affordable Housing” housing project.

Accordingly, 26 of the 28 residential units in the three planned buildings on Mitterweg are to be barrier-free and two are wheelchair-accessible.

In March, the municipal council had signaled its agreement in principle to changing the development plan for the "town center" and opted for a construction variant by the architects' office 3+Architekten.

However, options should then be examined to extend the building to the east, for example, or to enlarge the middle building.

Finally, the building committee should decide.

The decision on the expansion of the residential units was also transferred to the building committee.

The committee has now decided to make 26 of the 28 residential units barrier-free and to design two in such a way that they can also be used by wheelchair users.

Basically, the decision of the municipal council for the project was made for the construction variant with the largest number of residential units.

Only 26 residential units were planned for the other design variants.

The total cost of living space in Herrsching is estimated at 9.9 million euros

Three buildings are to be built on the 3,279 square meter plot with a central and slightly elongated structure in an east-west direction (and with a central garbage and bicycle room).

To the east of this there will be a building, also in an east-west direction.

The westernmost building with the two wheelchair-accessible apartments will be constructed in a north-south direction.

The living space is 1,920 square meters and thus more than the alternatives shown with 1,795 and 1,810 square meters.

The variant for which the municipal council has advocated has 44 underground parking spaces and a further three parking spaces outdoors.

According to the preliminary investigation, a total cost of 9.9 million euros is assumed.

That corresponds to 5,160 euros per square meter of living space.

According to a rough estimate, the rental income after 50 years without maintenance is 5.2 million euros.
