Rapid search success: Almost two days after a 55-year-old suffered a fractured skull at the Taufkirchen S-Bahn station in an argument, two suspects have been arrested.

– On Wednesday around 2.45 p.m., after intensive search and investigation measures, the two Afghan nationals in Taufkirchen and Giesing were temporarily arrested, reports the federal police.

The search was carried out in close cooperation with the police headquarters.

Camera recordings from the S-Bahn and from the train stations have led the officers to the suspects.

Searches at the place where the two young men lived in Taufkirchen had confirmed the suspicion.

Contrary to the initial assumption that there were three perpetrators, the investigation revealed that only two suspects were involved in the altercation.

Thugs attack man at S-Bahn station: 55-year-old suffers fracture of the base of the skull

A 55-year-old Pole who lives locally was seriously injured at the Taufkirchen S-Bahn station on Monday evening.

Around 9:30 p.m., the operations center of the Munich police headquarters reported a fight at the Taufkirchen S-Bahn station.

Officers found the 55-year-old Pole lying on the ground with a head injury and unresponsive.

An ambulance took him to the hospital, where a fractured base of the skull was diagnosed.

Witnesses had observed that the man had gotten into an argument with several strangers on the platform.

Then the argument shifted towards Eschenstrasse.
