More than 1,100 people in Baden-Württemberg were missing at the beginning of April.
1143 people were listed as missing as of April 11, the Interior Ministry said in response to a request from the Greens parliamentary group, which the German Press Agency has received.
Most people were reported missing in Freiburg (214), Mannheim (129) and Karlsruhe (114).
Stuttgart – 540 of the missing were not yet of legal age.
But: The completion rate in such cases is very high, in 2021 at more than 97 percent.
"If a person is missing, it can have very banal reasons - but there can also be serious criminal cases behind it," said Green politician Oliver Hildenbrand.
A high clarification rate is gratifying.
"But we always have to look at those missing persons cases in which the whereabouts of missing persons remain unclear for years." dpa
