The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had shot down a drone and three Tochka-O ballistic missiles over the Ukrainian island of Zmynyi, which is under its control in the Black Sea, noting that its forces had damaged 41 Ukrainian combat vehicles.
The announcement came during a press briefing held by the Ministry's spokesman, Igor Konashenkov, regarding the outcome of the operations conducted today by the Russian forces within the framework of their military operation in Ukraine.
Konashenkov said that the Russian aerospace forces today targeted four command posts, 38 mobilization areas and combat vehicles, four ammunition depots in the city of Soledar, north of Donetsk, as well as a special anti-artillery radar produced in the United States in the Kharkov province.
"As a result of the strikes, more than 170 nationalists were killed and 41 combat mechanisms were damaged," he added.
The spokesman indicated that the Russian aircraft bombed today 45 areas for the mobilization of soldiers and combat vehicles and a fuel depot for Ukrainian military vehicles in the vicinity of the town of Vrobovka, west of the city of Lugansk.
He continued, "The Russian artillery targeted 14 command centers, seven artillery units, 358 military mobilization areas and military vehicles, in addition to destroying a launch pad for the S-300 missile system near the town of Dolina in the Kharkov province."
Konashenkov confirmed that, during the day, Russian air defenses shot down five Ukrainian drones in the Kharkov province and the Donetsk People's Republic, and ten Smirch projectiles.
In total, since the beginning of its military operation in Ukraine, according to the data of the Ministry of Defense, the Russian forces have destroyed 164 aircraft, 125 helicopters, 827 drones, 304 missile systems, 3,022 tanks and armored vehicles, 366 rocket launchers, 1,479 artillery and mortars, in addition to 2,832 special military vehicles.
