The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court today (Thursday) extended by two weeks the detention of Subhi Abu Shakir and Assad al-Rifai, the two terrorists who carried out the attack in Elad last week, after granting the request of the investigators in the case. The hearing was held behind closed doors and between the two terrorists.
The investigation file is being conducted in collaboration with the prosecution and it is expected that during the allotted detention period, the case will be ready to file an indictment that will include security offenses, three murders and four attempted murders on a nationalist background.
It will be recalled that Oren Ben Yiftach, Boaz Gol and Yonatan Habakkuk were killed in the attack.
During the capture of the terrorists, about sixty hours after the attack, one of them confessed to the offenses, led the forces to the place where he threw the ax used by him and even gave his partner's name.

Meanwhile, as part of the arrests made by security officials, a number of suspects from the families of the terrorists were arrested on suspicion of helping them carry out the attack.
