Mar Asia Al-Hakim Center in Al-Hasakah opened today a special section for children with disabilities with the aim of providing care for them under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in the governorate.
The Executive Director of Mar Asia Al-Hakim Center, Eng. Saad Anti, told SANA reporter that the opening of the section within the Jasmine House project comes within the center's plan to take care of the category of children with disabilities, as they need care and support.
The director of the Jasmine House project, Mireille Safar, indicated that the opening of the department comes within the framework of the continuous effort to expand the services provided by the project, stressing that the center is ready to receive children with disabilities in its new headquarters next to Al-Hayat Hospital in the center of Al-Hasakah city.
She pointed out that the Yasmine House provides psychological support services to girls and women, in addition to free courses for them that include “literacy, computers, English and cooking” in order to empower and support them.
The Jasmine House project of the Mar Asia Al-Hakim Center was established in 2017, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, with the aim of providing psychological support to girls and women.
