The galleries of the cultural centers in the cities of Aleppo, Tartous and Jableh host the exhibitions of the Syrian Book Month, which are held by the Ministry of Culture within the celebration of Book Day, and through which various publications are offered with discounts of up to fifty percent.

The exhibition hall in the Tartous Cultural Center included various titles of the publications of the Syrian General Book Organization, according to Mona Asaad, the director of the center, who indicated in a statement to SANA that it contains various titles of studies, novels, books in poetry, criticism, philosophy, literature, and a bouquet of translated publications.

Asaad pointed out that the exhibition is accompanied by interactive cultural activities with children to introduce the importance of the book and the value of reading and reading, including an open day for reading and storytelling, in addition to seminars and lectures.

The official of the Ministry of Culture’s publications at the Tartous Culture Directorate, Yasser Ismail, indicated that the exhibition presents a variety of selections from different genres of literature, in addition to the printed periodicals issued by the Ministry of Culture at a 50 percent discount, explaining that the exhibition has become an annual tradition awaited by reading lovers because of their confidence in the rich cultural product it offers them.

In Aleppo, the exhibition hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Aziziyah included more than a thousand titles, as the Director of Culture in Aleppo Jaber Al-Sajour considered it as emphasizing the nobility and culture of the Syrian people, and it is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and the Book Authority to promote reading as a basic source of knowledge, pointing out that the books offered include all kinds of knowledge. Cultural, literary, scientific, novels, poetry and story.

The Director of the Cultural Center in Aziziyah, Jihad Ghanima, indicated that the titles presented in this exhibition are recent and date back to the last three years with the aim of publishing the book and communicating it to everyone through discounts on the price listed on the book, which is important in his opinion, especially under the current circumstances and facilitates the process of reaching the book to the largest possible number. from readers.

From the audience, researcher Dr. Fayez Al-Daya pointed out that books are the permanent destination that we need and cannot do without in the development process, believing that words and knowledge are the key to the future for all generations.

In Jableh, the exhibition hosted by its cultural center included 400 titles of literary and research publications, translations and children's literature, as confirmed by Sahar Rabib, director of the bookstore.

The Director of the Cultural Center, Mayada Hassan, explained that the exhibition came out of the importance of the book and among the various activities that the center undertakes, with keenness to make the book accessible to everyone and at appropriate encouraging prices for book lovers due to the importance of reading in developing human knowledge and raising his intellectual and cultural level.

A number of visitors stressed the importance of these exhibitions, which are distinguished by their reduced prices, especially children's books.
