Traditional moments just before sunset: The horns of the district group of the Bavarian Hunting Association have once again chosen particularly beautiful spots in the district and will publicly let their joy of playing run free on six different dates.

County – All concerts begin at 8 p.m.

The prelude is a performance this Thursday at the Dirlesried forest chapel in Egenhofen.

On June 13th the horn will be blown at the Hubertusmarterl (Russengraben/Starzelbach) in Alling, on July 4th at the Prack court chapel in Maisach.

The Jagdbläser can be heard in front of the Lamplkapelle in the Furthmühle on August 1st and in front of the St. Johannes Chapel in Odelzhausen on September 5th.

The last concert at the Geiselwies pilgrimage chapel in Sittenbach (Odelzhausen) will take place on October 10th.

If the weather is bad, the performances will be postponed by one week.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)

When asked about the reason for this series of small performances shortly before sunset, horn master Bernhard Breitsameter says: "Because we already did it with great pleasure in 2019, many more people came than expected and the desire for a repetition was often brought to us. After the corona restrictions were lifted, this can be easily implemented in the open air and also creates a moment of pause in the currently difficult times.

The hunting horn blowing group was founded in the autumn of 1960 at the instigation of the district chairman of the BJV, Hans Jung.

2012 was a time of upheaval for the hunting horn players: A new group was formed.

This can now also be heard.

If you are interested and happy to take part, you can contact the trained forester Bernhard Breitsameter.

Practice sessions take place every Monday at 8.15 p.m. under his direction in Unterschweinbach.
