A fine of up to 2500 euros is possible for violations of the corona vaccination obligation in care.

In Bavaria it will probably be significantly lower.

Munich – Violations of the corona vaccination obligation in care should only be punished in Bavaria with a fraction of the possible fine of 2500 euros.

The purely theoretical framework for fines is not fully exhausted in Bavaria, "usually a fine will be a maximum of 300 euros." A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health told the

(Wednesday, May 11).

There are no specifications for fines: "It is up to the responsible district administrative authorities to set an appropriate amount in each specific case."

According to the ministry, any participation in the recommended vaccination consultation, the financial situation or income of those affected, the regional and facility-related supply situation and a possible threat to supply security through termination should also be included.

Minister of Health Klaus Holetschek (CSU) had already stated several times in the past that he would rely on a graduated procedure with a sense of proportion for the facility-related compulsory vaccination.

Fines should only be imposed if no evidence is presented after information talks and a formal request with a four-week deadline.

Only as a last resort is the examination of the order for an activity or entry ban considered.

The Bavarian cabinet has let the disaster in Bavaria expire.

According to the ministry, by the deadline of May 8, 30,742 people were reported in care who were neither vaccinated nor recovered.

Nationwide, around 780,000 people are employed in the nursing and healthcare sectors – as of 2019.
