The weather forecast for May is rather dry, which is why, according to weather experts, you should enjoy the good, summery weather.
Because in the "real" summer, i.e. in the summer months of June, July and August, there can definitely be storms, thunderstorms and precipitation.

The meteorological summer begins on June 1st and ends on August 31st.
According to the report, Germany has an average of 230 liters of rain per square meter in summer, while June, July and August bring us an average of 210 hours of sunshine each, i.e. a total of 630 hours of sunshine.
The summers of 2003, 2018 and 2019 were particularly hot and dry. The summers of 2011, 2017 and 2021 were rather wet. But there was also a lot of rain in the summers of 2015 and 2016 in some regions.
No reliable forecast: Computer models only allow weather trends and no weather forecasts
According to the report, long-term weather forecasts are purely experimental in nature.
The computer models can only predict weather trends and not weather forecasts.
However, according to the report, both the calculation of the American weather service NOAA and European calculations currently see significantly more changeable times for the summer of 2022 - especially in July and August.
