To put under the rug, for the time of an election, all the disputes qualified as fundamental only yesterday by the interested parties themselves - and fundamental they indeed remain so, whether it is a question of the Republic, of the Europe, secularism, the retirement age, nuclear power or the relationship to Putin's Russia - with the sole aim of saving a few seats in the National Assembly.
