The Government announced today (13th) that in response to positive sewage tests, it will distribute a total of 200,000 rapid test kits to residents, cleaning staff and property management staff of various buildings in three districts in Hong Kong for their self-testing.
The three districts involve the Southern District, Kwun Tong District, and Central and Western District, including the Western District, which was said to have a high viral load in sewage yesterday (12th), including residential areas near Davis Street and Smithfield Road, and the Southern District, which involves Pittsburgh. Yau Wan, and all six phases of buildings and houses in Bel-Air.
Sewage samples in the Western District area were positive, and the government sent a rapid test kit.

The government said that since the positive results of sewage detected in the relevant areas and the relatively high amount of virus showed that there may be hidden patients in the premises in the area, rapid test kits were distributed for them to self-test to help identify the infected.
The areas and buildings involved include:
Southern District: Baguio Bay, Bel-Air (Phase 1), Bel-Air South Shore (Phase 2), Bel-Air Houses (Phase 3), Bel-Air South Bay (Phase 4), Bel-Air Mountain Path Houses (Phase 5) Phase) and Bel-Air No.8 (Phase VI)
Kwun Tong District: Shun Chi Court, Kung Lok Building, Nankang Building, Hong Li Court, Hong Tao Court, Hong Li Garden, King Hing House, Lam King Court, Happy Garden, Haitian Garden, Bili Garden, Jinhao Court, Jinlai Court, Jinlong Garden, Fung Yee Building, Kwun Tong Garden Building, Yu Lin Terrace, Shun Lee Estate and Shun On Estate
Central and Western District: Residential areas near Xining Street, Cadogan Street, Davis Street and Smithfield Road
The government reminds that when using the rapid antigen test kits, you should pay attention to and follow the manufacturer's instructions, conduct the test and read the results correctly, and take pictures immediately after reading the results for record.
Hands must be clean before and after the test, and non-essential supplies should be kept to a minimum in the sample collection area.
After testing, all components of the test kit need to be carefully wrapped, sealed and disposed of properly.
If the household environment is contaminated during sample collection, it should be disinfected with 1:49 diluted household bleach or 70% alcohol.
Persons who have obtained positive results for the first time with the rapid antigen test can declare through the "2019 Coronavirus Rapid Antigen Test Positive Results Person Declaration System" online platform.

The four districts were sent to quickly test the sewage of 15 housing estates including Kowloon City hard-hit Sai Wan Village, Hong Kong University Dormitory on the list, and 15 housing estates, including Tsinghua Yuen Village and Tin Shing Court in Tin Shui Wai, were found to be positive for sewage from the government's rapid test package. If the test is positive, the Housing Department will send 170,000 quick test kits. 200,000 people in Shijinglin Village, Lanwan Peninsula, and Huajing Villa are required to be tested quickly.
