Red flags were hoisted today at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's two beaches, Butterfly Bay and Clear Water Bay Second Beach.
The LCSD announced this morning (June 13) that the Butterfly Beach in Tuen Mun District is subject to shark prevention net maintenance works. It has been temporarily closed and a red flag has been hoisted. The public should not swim there until further notice.
In addition, due to strong waves, a red flag has been hoisted at Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung District, indicating that swimming there will be dangerous and the public should not swim there.
