According to the police, the man had a blood alcohol content of 2.5.
The young man had fallen off his bike on Gärtnerweg last night - apparently without the intervention of other road users.
On site, the police quickly found that the cyclist was quite drunk.
A breath alcohol test finally revealed a value of over 2.5 per mille.
The cyclist sustained minor injuries in the fall and was taken to the hospital.
A blood sample was taken there.
The man is now facing criminal charges for drunk driving.
