A passer-by finds a seriously injured 11-year-old in front of a skyscraper in Hanau, his 7-year-old sister is found dead on the balcony – previous information on the bloody deed.

Hanau – The death of two children shocks the Hessian city of Hanau.

On Wednesday (May 11), a passer-by found a seriously injured 11-year-old in front of a high-rise building.

The police made the next terrible discovery as soon as they arrived: the boy's 7-year-old sister was dead on a balcony on the ninth floor of the high-rise building.

Bloody deed in Hanau: What is known about the crime so far

Both children, 11 and 7 years old, are dead. The police have so far assumed an act of violence.

The boy should first be picked up by a rescue helicopter.

A spokeswoman for the dpa public prosecutor said that the boy died from multiple internal injuries that were due to a fall from a great height.

The reasons for the fall are part of the investigation "which is being conducted on suspicion of murder," said the spokeswoman.
