Herrsching - In Herrsching, a bicycle shop was broken into again and goods worth 80,000 euros were stolen.

The perpetrator came through the window and demolished the alarm system.

Now there are new clues.

Demand for bicycles has skyrocketed during the pandemic.

"Criminals have probably also recognized this trend by now!" writes the Herrsching police in a press release and explains that within a few weeks a bicycle shop in the area of ​​the Herrsching police station was broken into for the second time and several high-priced bikes with a total value of around 80,000 euros were taken from them were stolen.

This time the crime scene was in Heinestrasse in Herrsching.

The unknown perpetrator first pried open a small window on Monday night, climbed into the sales room and then lifted the first wheel out through another window.

Later he apparently found the key to the front door and carried seven more wheels beyond it.

The perpetrator destroyed the alarm system and sprayed paint on the surveillance camera

When the alarm system went off while the crime was being carried out, he destroyed it.

The perpetrator had previously rendered a surveillance camera unusable by spraying it with paint.

Nevertheless, the burglar could be filmed briefly and it can be seen, among other things, that he was dressed in black and wore a baseball cap.

After evaluating various video recordings, further details about the perpetrator have now become known.

Apparently, the perpetrator was already at the scene of the crime on Sunday, May 8, in the morning.

At that time, the male, slim person was wearing a blue jacket with dark applications, black trousers and black shoes.

He also wore a gray baseball cap with a black peak.

By the evening of April 29, the same person had already been looking around the bike shop, police said.

He was wearing white sneakers.

His shaved head is striking.
