CNN indicated that one of the reasons for closing the factory is related to health protection after the death of two children as a result of consuming a component of powdered milk due to the possibility of contamination with Salmonella and “Coronobacter” bacteria, which the company said was the result of a rare infection caused by bacteria present in the milk.
The network added: The lack of available prompted American families to search for other alternatives to milk and to obtain incorrect information and methods about how to feed their children.
