E-mobility is playing an increasingly important role these days.

That's why the municipalities are also giving more thought to where they could set up charging stations - such as now in Wackersberg and Gaißach.

Wackersberg/Gaißach

– In the future, there will be five places in Wackersberg where you can fully charge your e-car.

"That has to be done this year, otherwise the funding will be flat," Mayor Jan Göhzold explained at the meeting, why the municipality had commissioned the company 17er-Energie, as the most economical provider, with the execution very quickly.

The locations were still being discussed.

So far, the Arzbach sports hall, the Wackersberger village square, the Hochtanner hiking car park and two charging stations at the heating plant were considered.

Other frequented parking spaces such as Blomberg, Waldherralm or Penny are mostly private and therefore difficult.

However, Penny announced that he might provide charging facilities.

The possibility of installing one of these on Badstrasse instead of two at the heating plant was discussed for a relatively long time.

Martin Fischer advocated a charging station there.

Or should one omit the one at the Hochtanner car park?

Because, according to the opinion of the committee, one would rather not charge one's car there because one sets off on longer hikes.

And if you block a charging parking space longer than necessary, you pay a certain fee.

"We got the suggestions and thought about it for a long time," finally interjected Martin March, who advocated staying at the original locations.

Jan Göhzold then suggested sticking with it.

"We'll then see the frequency." Sooner or later there will probably be more anyway.

In the end, only Martin Fischer voted against the locations.

Gaißach: charging station with two points planned at the Sunntraten car park

In the municipality of Gaißach, the most recent council meeting on Tuesday evening also dealt with the installation of charging stations with two charging points each at the Sunntraten car park and in Bahnhofstrasse.

According to Mayor Stefan Fadinger, up to 80 percent funding is currently still possible.

"Bayernwerk, as the electricity supplier, does not see any problems at the targeted locations," he explained at the meeting.

Free Voters Council Ernst Größwang inquired about the remaining costs for the municipality.

According to Fadinger, that would still be between 4,000 and 5,000 euros.

A grant of around 17,000 euros is expected.

"We may have to add a bit more if we have to adjust the foundations at the parking lot," added the mayor.

As in Wackersberg, Gaißach now also places the order with 17er-Energie.

The councils decided unanimously.
