The American press repeated the words she had introduced herself with during the previous presidency:
“I am everything Donald Trump hates: a woman, black, gay and a mother…”
Aged 44, married to a journalist, mother of a daughter named Soleil, born in Martinique of Haitian parents, French-speaking, Karine Jean-Pierre could have highlighted the professional qualities that led her to the White House.
But she wants to be militant, black and gay first.
She was on Barack Obama's campaign team, then recruited by current Vice President Kamala Harris.
"This is a historic moment!"
she proclaimed upon her appointment…
