"Hartz and cordial": Jonas absolutely wants to move out of the Benz barracks.

But he has to pay off his mother's debts, so finding an apartment isn't easy.

The Benz barracks in Mannheim – cordiality and social hardship live side by side here.

The "Hartz und cordial" participants have their hearts in the right place, but life with financial worries and the stress of official duties is still not easy.

The 21-year-old Jonas also feels this – because the way out of the dependency of the offices is particularly rocky for him, as MANNHEIM24 reports.

"Hartz and warm": Jonas has to pay his mother's debts - and therefore cannot move out

Jonas still lives with his mother Simone in the green block of Mannheim's cult district.

The duo forms a community of needs.

That's why the security guard has to use his income to pay for his mother's debts.

It's a vicious circle for the 21-year-old, because he would most like to turn his back on the Benz barracks and move out together with his girlfriend Martina.

But this is not so easy.

Again and again he has to pay off his mother's debts - and in doing so he reaches his limits.

"Hartz and cordial" in Mannheim: Jonas keeps getting letters from the office - "it's always about..."

Seizures, fines and other letters from the city administration: Jonas, the actor in "Hartz und cordial", has no great hopes of being able to move out of the Benz barracks in the near future and risk a new start with Martina.

"It's always about the [stupid] money," the "Hartz und Herzen" viewers hear Jonas scold regularly in the social documentary on RTLZWEI.

Again and again, unwanted letters reveal further debts from his mother, which are to be settled through attachments.

Everything is to be seized that can settle or reduce Simone's debts. "What do you want?

You can have a toaster, from me," Jonas raged while opening one of these hated letters in front of the RTLZWEI camera.

"Hartz and cordial": Jonas desperate for an apartment - "I'm getting more and more debt..."

It's not easy for the 21-year-old: He works a lot, earns his own money and still doesn't get anywhere.

A vicious circle that really gets on his nerves: "I'm getting more and more in debt.

This is really killing me.

I'll pay for everything - I'll never get out of here like this," Jonas makes clear in "Hartz and cordially - Benz barracks day after day".

The "Hartz and warm" actor wants to move out and start his own life – but it's not that easy.

Since the housing market is highly competitive and security employee Jonas also has to contend with Hartz IV clichés when viewing apartments, further apartment cancellations continue to hail away from the RTLZWEI cameras.

"Hartz and cordial" from the Benz barracks: Jonas wants to put an end to the debt

For Jonas, however, it gets even worse: Simone has accumulated more debts by receiving child benefit, even though her son is already working.

That's why the 21-year-old is doing everything he can to find evidence that could reduce the debt.

Jonas wants to finally put an end to the debt and diligently collects certificates about his activities before starting work.

He was only entitled to child benefit during his school days and in the subsequent job center measure.
