In recent years, the government has vigorously promoted the innovation and technology and re-industrialization industries. The Science and Technology Park Corporation has re-positioned Tseung Kwan O, Tai Po and Yuen Long Industrial Estates as "innovation parks" earlier, and set up an Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in the Tseung Kwan O Innovation Park. "Asia's first state-of-the-art production facility that integrates automation and smart logistics solutions across industries."
Tseung Kwan O AMC covers an area of 2.71 hectares with a total floor area of about 109,000 square meters. It has seven floors and a floor height of six meters. It is expected to accommodate 2,500 I&T personnel.
The facility provides shared warehouses, shared logistics services, shared prototype manufacturing, low-volume assembly support, and cleanrooms.
AMC's logistics center operates 24 hours a day and is equipped with automated equipment, including driverless forklifts and machinery, which can load and unload goods.
