Barely back from Chicago and New York, an American parenthesis with her show
Oh la la
, Isabelle Georges is back at the Bal Blomet in Paris (15th).
In the wake of her album
Isabelle Georges sings Gilbert Bécaud
released by Encore Music, she performs some twenty titles on stage: standards like
Je reviens techercher
,
And now
and lesser-known songs like
I want to be kissed
that Gilbert Bécaud has composed with Charles Aznavour.

In a lightly spangled little black dress, she laughs happy to be there, dares to perform a tap dance act and finally performs a real music hall act.
All in finesse and delicacy, Isabelle Georges has always had a little Liza Minelli side.
On the piano, she is accompanied by the excellent Bruno Fontaine (Ute Lemper, Sylvie Vartan, Mylène Farmer).
You have to watch him play: his scores are electronic.
He turns the pages with his foot on a special pedal.
It's fascinating.
On stage, Isabelle Georges is also accompanied by Benoît Dunoyer on double bass, Daniel Ciampolini on drums and by Adrien Sanchez on saxophone.
As a reminder that Bécaud's international career was exceptional, she sang
Over the Rainbow
by Judy Garland and
Tutti Frutti
by Elvis Presley.
Two legends who sang Bécaud.
When she ends on
Let it be me
and a gospel choir rises in the middle of the audience, the goosebumps are there and the standing ovation is deserved.
Fans of Gilbert Bécaud, so angry at never hearing from their idol since his disappearance twenty years ago because of the endless war between his heirs, are delighted.
