Damascus Governorate implemented works to lay an asphalt shirt for the road coming from Al-Hijaz Station towards Al-Fahama Roundabout, in addition to Al-Abed Street from Sabaa Bahrat Square towards the traffic light, the first of the People’s Assembly building, as part of its service plan for this year.
Director of Supervision, Engineer Hesham Al-Hamwi, explained in a statement to SANA that the road extending from the Hejaz station has been asphalted with a length of 200 meters and a width ranging between 18 and 20 meters, with an area estimated at 4,000 square meters.
In turn, the director of maintenance in the governorate, Engineer Ghassan Al-Khatib, indicated that the directorate’s workshops carried out today asphalting works for sections of Al-Abed Street, with an estimated area of 600 square meters, after skimming the damaged asphalt yesterday evening, noting that asphalting works on vital roads are carried out on holidays to prevent any traffic jams at times. Always.
Al-Khatib pointed out that the workshops treated a damaged asphalt section of Al-Thawra Street after the concrete base was removed within the road after it was inspected, and the asphalt layer was restored and laid.
