Vote for change.
The slogan is declined in different forms in the campaign of opposition candidates for the legislative elections of May 15.
But it is the opposite effect that should come out of the ballot box, with the renewal of the community oligarchy in power.
If this was not the expected result, the uncertain ballot until the last few weeks would not have taken place, say observers of the Lebanese political system.
Those in power are accustomed to long postponements and vacancies at the head of official institutions when the conditions for the stability of their hold are not met.
If the opportunity to maintain the meeting prevailed, it is because it reinforces the legitimacy of the supporters of the system by providing them with a democratic veneer, at a time of great fragility due to the major crises that are shaking Lebanon.
