A motorcycle bomb exploded this Thursday in a municipality in southwestern Colombia, authorities reported.
The incident occurred in the town of Caloto, department of Cauca, around 8:20 p.m. this Thursday.
The mayor of this town, Gonzalo Ramírez Velasco, said that the vehicle with explosives had been abandoned by unknown persons on a bridge at the entrance to the town.
Although there are no fatalities, authorities report that three people were injured and taken to the local hospital.
The explosive wave, according to the mayor, affected at least 40 homes, 20 of them in their structures.

Members of the army and the police traveled to the area and it has not yet been possible to establish which armed group could be behind this attack in the department of Cauca.
