Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Moscow had not received any response from the regime in Kyiv to its proposals for a joint document between Russia and Ukraine.
"There is no movement so far on reaching a joint document with Ukraine, and this is due to the fact that the Ukrainian side does not respond and does not respond to Russia's proposals," TASS news agency quoted Peskov as saying today.
Peskov pointed out that any meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zelensky, should be well prepared.
Regarding the statements of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk about Kyiv’s desire to sign a document to evacuate its forces from the Azovstal plant, Peskov said: “We proceed from the words of President Putin, who stated that all civilians can leave the plant’s territory in any direction they choose, which was done, as can the elements of the Ukrainian army. They will also leave and lay down their weapons and they will be treated accordingly, and all the wounded will be provided with the necessary medical care.”
