For many people in the district, the start of Friday was anything but pleasant.
In around 5,000 households in Puchheim, Gröbenzell, Emmering and Puchheim, the power went out around 4 a.m.
Fürstenfeldbruck – Some traffic lights also failed.
According to the network operator Bayernwerk, the reason was a fault in an underground cable.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)
As a company spokesman said when asked, the disruption was resolved for most households by 7.40 a.m.
They could be powered from adjacent circuits.
How exactly the error could have happened is still unclear.
For example, movement in the ground over the years could have damaged a cable.
On Friday morning, technicians were busy looking for the error.
